A sterling silver band rings the shank with an engraved decorative motif, and the crossed-pipes emblem — Vauen’s signature since 1848 in Nuremberg — is inlaid in silver on the stem in place of a white dot. The bowl is hand-finished from the maker’s top PLS-grade briar, one of six shapes marking 175 years.
