Founded in 1912 by Arturo Fuente, the iconic brand is now led by his grandson, Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. The Hemingway series honors Arturo’s mastery of hand-rolling Perfecto cigars—a complex shape popular in the 1920s to 1940s. As the vitola faded over time, Carlito revived the lost art in the 1980s, launching the Hemingway line with a range of hand-crafted Perfectos. This collection also introduced a unique twist to Fuente’s offerings by blending a rich African Cameroon wrapper with select Dominican binder and filler tobaccos from their renowned tabacalera.
