The Original takes its name from the shape that opened Peterson’s Sherlock Holmes line, and like every pipe in Peterson’s Sherlock Holmes line it is an oversized Bent Dublin with real presence in the hand.
A glossy jet-black ebony stain lacquers the smooth bowl, with a sterling silver band hand-set at the shank — Peterson’s hallmark silverwork. The Original wears a jet-black vulcanite P-Lip bit, the signature mouthpiece that lifts smoke up and away from the tongue. A big, characterful pipe with genuine literary pedigree.
