The Strand takes its name from The Strand Magazine, where the stories first ran, and like every pipe in Peterson’s Sherlock Holmes line it is an oversized Bent Apple with real presence in the hand.
A deep rustication is worked rough across the bowl, with a sterling silver band hand-set at the shank — Peterson’s hallmark silverwork. The Strand wears a jet-black vulcanite P-Lip bit, the signature mouthpiece that lifts smoke up and away from the tongue. A big, characterful pipe with genuine literary pedigree.
