The Milverton takes its name from the master blackmailer Charles Augustus Milverton, and like every pipe in Peterson’s Sherlock Holmes line it is an oversized Bent Billiard with real presence in the hand.
A craggy sandblast raises the ring grain into rugged, tactile relief, with a sterling silver band hand-set at the shank — Peterson’s hallmark silverwork. The Milverton wears a jet-black vulcanite P-Lip bit, the signature mouthpiece that lifts smoke up and away from the tongue. A big, characterful pipe with genuine literary pedigree.
