Named for Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard, the Lestrade is one of Peterson’s celebrated Sherlock Holmes shapes — a substantial Bent Apple built to the generous proportions the line is known for.
A warm red-brown Terracotta stain deepens the smooth bowl’s grain, with a sterling silver band hand-set at the shank — Peterson’s hallmark silverwork. The Lestrade wears a jet-black vulcanite P-Lip bit, the signature mouthpiece that lifts smoke up and away from the tongue. A big, characterful pipe with genuine literary pedigree.
