Davidoff Signature Toro (6″x54) Cigars

Price range: $28.70 through $717.50

The Signature Toro is the largest format in Davidoff’s Signature line. At 6 inches with a 54 ring gauge, it holds more tobacco than any other Signature size, and Davidoff says that extra filler brings out more complexity while keeping the blend’s trademark balance. It joined the line in 2016.

It is handmade in the Dominican Republic with an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and filler. The longer format takes its time to build, peaking in the middle third, and the smoke stays light and the draw easy throughout.

Davidoff describes a mild smoke of about 60 to 80 minutes in which creamy, sweet notes come to the surface. Barley, toasted wheat and oak open the first third, cream, brown sugar and floral spice fill the middle, and cedar, dried fruit and black pepper carry the finish. Davidoff suggests an aromatic milk coffee alongside. It is offered here as a box of 25, a pack of 4 or a single cigar.

The extra length and girth hold more tobacco, so the flavors keep shifting over a longer smoke. The draw stays easy and the creaminess runs from the first taste to the finish.

Cigar Pairing

With a Milk Coffee

Like the rest of the Signature line, the Toro is best with an aromatic milk coffee, according to Davidoff. Its creamy sweetness keeps pace with the cigar’s barley, cream and cedar over a long, relaxed smoke.

Cigar Story

A Line Born in 1968

The Signature line traces back to 1968 and its predecessor, the Davidoff Classic, whose cigars were finished with a pigtail at the head, a detail that set Davidoff apart at the time.

The Toro joined the line in 2016, giving the creamiest, most refined blend of Davidoff’s White Band Collection its largest format.
