Peterson Pipes Jekyll & Hyde (03) Fishtail

The bent Apple rounds the classic globe bowl and tips it toward the jaw, a soft, comfortable form that all but disappears in the hand. In the 03, the shape reads as a compact take on the form, here cast in Peterson’s split-personality Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde dress.

Half the stummel wears rough, blackened rustication and half a glassy, ruby-stained smooth briar, divided down the bowl in true Jekyll-and-Hyde fashion. A polished wide nickel band marks the shank, a crisp note of shine. A jet-black vulcanite fishtail stem finishes the pipe in classic Peterson form. A characterful, conversation-starting Peterson with genuine literary flair, well suited to an easy clencher who likes to smoke hands-free through unhurried hours.
