The Lovat sets a trim round bowl on a long round shank with a saddle stem, slim and purposeful from bowl to bit. In the 53, the shape joins Peterson’s Killarney line, named for the town in southwest Ireland.
The bowl wears a warm red stain over smooth briar, bright and characterful, set off by the series’ distinctive dual nickel bands and a black vulcanite fishtail stem. An accessibly priced, good-looking Peterson well suited to the smoker who likes a lean, elegant straight pipe.
