The Lovat sets a trim round bowl on a long round shank with a saddle stem, slim and purposeful from bowl to bit. This 53 is a comfortably mid-sized take on the shape. Smooth briar under Aran’s dark walnut stain carries a warm, even luster, lifted by a polished nickel band at the shank, finished with a jet-black vulcanite fishtail stem.
A slightly dressier everyday Peterson, the nickel band lending a bit of polish — well suited to the smoker who likes a lean, elegant straight pipe with a saddle bite.
