Round-shouldered and full-cheeked, the Apple is one of briar’s friendliest forms, its soft spherical bowl sitting naturally in the palm. This 86 is a generously long take on the shape. Aran’s dark, silky walnut stain gives the smooth briar a quiet, hand-rubbed glow, lifted by a polished nickel band at the shank, finished with a jet-black vulcanite fishtail stem.
A slightly dressier everyday Peterson, the nickel band lending a bit of polish — well suited to the smoker who prefers curves to corners and wants a relaxed all-day shape.
