The bent Apple rounds the classic globe bowl and tips it toward the jaw, a soft, comfortable form that all but disappears in the hand. In the XL02, the shape joins Peterson’s Killarney line, named for the town in southwest Ireland.
The bowl wears a deep, lively red stain over smooth briar, set off by the series’ distinctive dual nickel bands and a black vulcanite fishtail stem. An accessibly priced, good-looking Peterson well suited to an easy clencher who likes to smoke hands-free through unhurried hours.
